Version: v20261031 (1.0). Effective from 1 November 2026.
§ 1. Scope and definitions
These Rules set out the terms of participation in activities run by Horseback Sp. z o.o., ul. Piastowska 1, 42-400 Zawiercie, Poland, KRS 0000782843, NIP (tax ID) 6492315792 ("Horseback"), and the rules for staying at the activity venue.
In these Rules:
1. Centre - the Horseback Horse Riding and Outdoor Activity Centre, ul. Orle Gniazdo 20, 42-421 Hucisko, Poland;
2. Off-site Activities - activities run by Horseback outside the Centre, at a place designated by the Ordering Party, in particular at a holiday resort, hotel, school, kindergarten or company;
3. Ordering Party - a business, institution or other entity that has ordered activities for an organised group of participants;
4. Activity Venue - the Centre, the place of Off-site Activities and any area, route or facility where field activities take place, including a shooting range;
5. Participant - a person taking part in activities;
6. Client - a person who has concluded an agreement for activities with Horseback, within the meaning of the Terms of Purchases, Orders and Bookings.
These Rules cover all types of activities: horse riding, hippotherapy, shooting, self-defence, hiking, field games and other outdoor activities, photo sessions with horses, as well as camps, picnics and Horseback's own events, as regards the conduct of activities - both at the Centre and elsewhere.
These Rules govern the conduct of activities. Conclusion of the agreement, prices, payments, cancellation and rescheduling, passes and the right of withdrawal are governed by the Terms of Purchases, Orders and Bookings available at https://horseback.pl/regulamin-zakupow-zamowien-rezerwacji. Participation in a package travel event is additionally governed by the terms of the package travel agreement.
For activities ordered by an Ordering Party, the fee, schedule, settlement and the Ordering Party's obligations are set out in the agreement with the Ordering Party (in particular the accepted offer). As between Horseback and the Ordering Party, the agreement prevails over these Rules, except for the safety rules, which always apply to participants as worded in these Rules.
These Rules apply to participants, their parents and guardians and accompanying persons for the entire time they stay at the Activity Venue.
The Centre's grounds border on facilities of other entities. At the Centre, these Rules apply only to the areas and facilities used by Horseback; Horseback is not responsible for the infrastructure, staff or events on the areas of other entities.
These Rules are available at https://horseback.pl/regulamin-zajec. Joining activities and entering the activity area means that the person has read these Rules and undertakes to comply with them and to follow the safety instructions and the instructors' directions.
§ 2. General rules for all activities
Participants and accompanying persons follow the directions of the instructor running the activity. Safety directions must be followed immediately.
During activities and at the Centre, smoking tobacco and e-cigarettes and consuming alcohol and other intoxicants are prohibited, except in places expressly designated for this purpose at the Centre.
Participants and accompanying persons must not be under the influence of alcohol or intoxicants. The instructor may refuse to admit to activities or to the activity area any person reasonably suspected of being under such influence; a test is not a condition of such a decision. For shooting and self-defence activities this rule is applied unconditionally.
Mutual respect and courtesy towards people and animals are required. Raising one's voice and using profanity are prohibited.
A participant is responsible for Horseback's equipment entrusted to them and uses it as intended and as instructed by the instructor. Damage to Horseback's property is the responsibility of the person causing it and, for damage caused by a minor participant, of their parent or legal guardian, in accordance with the law.
Horseback is not responsible for items left unattended. Items left at the Centre for more than 3 months may be disposed of or given to others, after prior notice to the owner, if known.
Theft and vandalism are reported to the Police.
The instructor may exclude from activities and ask to leave the activity area any person who breaches these Rules, obstructs the activity or endangers themselves, others or animals, as well as any person who smokes tobacco or e-cigarettes during activities. Where justified, the Police are called.
Dogs may stay at the Centre only on a leash and under the owner's constant control; the owner ensures that the dog does not frighten horses or disturb activities and cleans up after the dog. The instructor may ask for the dog to be taken out of the activity area.
Accompanying persons do not interfere with activities: they do not distract or call participants, do not ask them to pose for photos and do not enter the activity arena without the instructor's consent. A Client bringing accompanying persons is responsible for their behaviour.
Activities start and end at the scheduled times, regardless of the number of participants present at the start. A participant's late arrival shortens their activity time. We recommend arriving a few minutes before the start.
Please report any problems, doubts or comments to the instructor promptly, during or immediately after the activity.
§ 3. Participant, minors, health, clothing
Requirements as to a participant's age, weight, skills and fitness are set out in the activity description, the offer, these Rules or the Animal Welfare Policy. If not specified, anyone may take part regardless of age and physical condition, subject to section 6. Unless the description states otherwise, activities do not require high fitness or endurance.
Participation requires no health contraindications to physical activity and, for riding activities, to horse riding. This is assessed by the participant or, for a minor, by the parent or legal guardian; in case of doubt we recommend consulting a doctor.
Before the activity, the participant, or the parent or legal guardian for a minor, provides health information relevant to safety, in particular about illnesses, allergies, injuries and medication taken. This information is provided in the participant card available at https://horseback.pl/karty-uczestnika and, for activities ordered by an Ordering Party, also through the Ordering Party in the manner agreed with Horseback.
A minor takes part in activities under the care and in the presence of a parent or legal guardian or with their prior consent, given in the participant card or otherwise, including electronically. The parent or guardian designates the persons authorised to collect the minor. During activities the instructor supervises their course to the extent resulting from the programme; care of the minor before and after activities rests with the parent, guardian or the entity to which care has been entrusted (§ 9(7)).
Sportswear is not required unless the activity description states otherwise. Activities take place all year round, outdoors, so participants dress appropriately for the season and the weather. Specialist equipment is not required - safety equipment, in particular a riding helmet, is provided by Horseback. Additional requirements for specific activities are set out in §§ 5-8.
The instructor may refuse to admit a participant or stop their participation if the participant's condition, behaviour, clothing or lack of the required health information prevents the activity from being run safely. In the event of exclusion for a gross breach of these Rules, no refund is due for unused services; in other cases the Terms of Purchases, Orders and Bookings apply and, for activities ordered by an Ordering Party, the agreement with the Ordering Party.
Hippotherapy is conducted on the basis of information provided by the parent or guardian and, if available, a doctor's or therapist's recommendation. Hippotherapy does not replace medical treatment.
§ 4. Risk and liability
Horse riding, contact with horses, shooting, self-defence and field activities are higher-risk activities. A horse is a large animal with defensive reflexes and its reactions cannot be fully predicted. Participants and accompanying persons acknowledge this.
Horseback runs activities with qualified staff, takes care of the condition of equipment and animals and applies safety rules; nevertheless, the risk of an accident cannot be excluded.
Horseback holds third-party liability insurance covering its business activity.
The price of activities does not include personal accident insurance. We recommend taking out personal accident insurance covering horse riding or the other activity practised.
Horseback is liable for damage in accordance with the law. In particular, Horseback is not liable for damage:
1. caused by persons for whom Horseback is not responsible, and by animals and things that do not belong to and are not used by Horseback, including the infrastructure of the Off-site Activities venue and of a shooting range;
2. caused by force majeure;
3. caused solely by the injured party's fault, in particular by failure to comply with these Rules or the instructor's directions.
If the injured party contributed to the damage or its increase, in particular by failing to comply with these Rules or the instructor's directions, the obligation to redress it is reduced accordingly.
These Rules do not exclude or limit Horseback's liability for personal injury or for damage caused intentionally.
§ 5. Horse riding and hippotherapy
A riding helmet must be worn while riding, without exception, together with long trousers and closed, full footwear. Riding boots or other footwear with a smooth sole and a heel, and comfortable, fitted clothing are recommended. Horseback provides a helmet if the participant does not have one.
Horses are treated with respect. Rough treatment of a horse at any stage of work with it is prohibited.
Feeding horses and other Horseback animals without the instructor's consent is prohibited. A treat for the horse is given with the instructor's consent immediately after dismounting, before leaving the arena.
Entering stables and paddocks, opening paddocks and leading horses out without the instructor's consent are prohibited.
Entering the riding arena or a fenced activity area with a horse during activities without the instructor's consent is prohibited.
The rider, to the extent of their skills, prepares the horse for riding and looks after it afterwards, and does not leave the horse unattended. A rider who receives a horse already saddled from a previous session helps the other participants of the group.
Putting on the horse any equipment other than that assigned by the instructor, in particular boots, bandages, rugs and martingales, is prohibited.
Any change noticed on the horse's skin - a wound, abrasion or swelling - must be reported to the instructor.
A new participant demonstrates their skills in individual sessions before joining a group. Hacking out is possible after the rider's skills have been checked in the arena; hacking out is not possible during the first sessions.
For the horses' welfare, the rider weight limit set out in the Animal Welfare Policy available at https://horseback.pl/polityka-dobrostanu-zwierzat applies. The instructor may refuse to admit to riding a person who does not meet it. The limit does not apply to activities that do not involve mounting a horse.
Animal welfare is paramount. Behaviour endangering a horse's health or welfare is not tolerated and results in exclusion from activities and, where justified, a report to the Police.
§ 6. Shooting
Shooting activities are run by an instructor holding the appropriate qualifications. Participation requires unconditional compliance with the instructor's commands.
Shooting activities take place at shooting ranges operated by other entities. The rules of the shooting range and the directions of the range officer apply at the range. In the event of a discrepancy, the rules of the shooting range prevail.
Firearms, ammunition and eye and hearing protection are provided by Horseback. The equipment complies with the regulations on sport shooting. Firearms and ammunition are handed to participants only by the instructor. Participants do not use their own firearms or ammunition without Horseback's prior consent.
A firearm remains unloaded, with the chamber open and pointed towards the backstop or at a place indicated by the instructor, until a command is given. Pointing a firearm at people or animals is prohibited, whether or not it is loaded.
Eye and hearing protection are mandatory to the extent indicated by the instructor.
Participants do not pick up or touch firearms away from the firing point or without the instructor's command, do not cross the firing line and do not leave the firing point holding a firearm.
A minor's participation in shooting activities requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian and their presence or the express entrustment of care to the instructor, as well as compliance with the age requirements set out in the law and in the shooting range rules.
The instructor stops the activity and removes from the firing point any person breaching the safety rules; this decision is final and is not open to discussion at the firing point.
§ 7. Self-defence
Self-defence classes are training classes. Techniques are performed only in the manner and at the pace indicated by the instructor, with a partner designated by the instructor.
Using techniques at full force, strikes to the head and neck and joint locks beyond the scope shown by the instructor are prohibited.
Participants inform the instructor of injuries and movement limitations before the class and immediately of any pain or injury during it.
Sportswear is required; jewellery and watches are removed. Fingernails must be cut short.
Skills acquired in class serve only for necessary defence within the limits set by law.
§ 8. Hiking, field games and other outdoor activities
Participants keep to the designated route and follow the leader's directions, do not move away from the group and do not leave the route without the leader's consent.
Participants come in footwear and clothing suitable for the conditions and the season and bring water. The leader may refuse to admit a person without suitable footwear or clothing if this would endanger their safety.
Some activities take place in protected areas. Destroying vegetation, disturbing animals, littering and lighting fires outside designated places are prohibited.
In field games, climbing rocks and entering caves are prohibited, except for programme elements run under the leader's supervision.
A minor takes part in field activities under the care of a parent, guardian, Horseback staff or the entity to which care has been entrusted, in accordance with the activity programme.
§ 9. Off-site Activities
Off-site Activities take place outdoors or in premises designated by the Ordering Party. These Rules and the house rules of the venue apply. The safety rules for the conduct of activities are set by the Horseback instructor.
The Ordering Party provides free access to the area and premises necessary to run the activities and allows Horseback to inspect them in advance, early enough to assess whether they are suitable.
The area for activities involving a horse must allow them to be run safely, in particular it must be free of vehicle traffic and unsecured obstacles. During such activities, animals not owned by Horseback stay outside the activity area.
The instructor may refuse to start or may stop the activities if the area or premises do not allow them to be run safely.
Public order, fire, medical and sanitary safety at the Off-site Activities venue and waste management are the responsibility of the Ordering Party, unless the agreement with the Ordering Party provides otherwise. Horseback is responsible for the conduct of activities, its staff, animals and equipment.
The Ordering Party ensures that participants arrive at the venue on time.
Before the activities, the Ordering Party acquaints the participants and, for minors, also their parents or guardians, with these Rules. At the Ordering Party's request, Horseback provides it free of charge, electronically, with an information leaflet on the terms of participation and liability. If the Ordering Party has care of a group of minors (e.g. as a holiday organiser, school or kindergarten), that care continues during the activities; the Horseback instructor runs the activities and supervises their course.
§ 10. Weather, cancellation, interruption and change of form of activities
We run activities all year round, outdoors.
Only Horseback (the instructor) decides whether weather conditions allow an activity to take place. This assessment concerns solely the safety of running the activity and the welfare of participants and horses. Weather conditions as assessed by a participant or Client, in particular low temperature, cloud cover or a weather forecast, are not grounds for cancelling an activity on terms other than those set out in the Terms of Purchases, Orders and Bookings.
Horseback may cancel or interrupt an activity because of weather conditions assessed in accordance with section 2, and also where the condition of the ground, the condition of the animals or other circumstances endanger the safety of participants or animals. The decision to interrupt an activity is taken by the instructor on site.
The rules and deadlines for cancellation by the Client, the consequences of late cancellation and no-show, and the Client's rights where Horseback cancels or interrupts an activity (a new date or a refund) are set out in the Terms of Purchases, Orders and Bookings and, for activities ordered by an Ordering Party, in the agreement with the Ordering Party.
For outdoor activities, in particular Off-site Activities, Horseback may, in difficult weather conditions and instead of cancelling, run the activity in whole or in part indoors, without a horse. Such activities include in particular an introduction to riding equipment, an introduction to riding theory and equestrian disciplines, balance exercises preparing for riding in the saddle and an introduction to horse trails. For Off-site Activities, the choice between this form and a new date is governed by the agreement with the Ordering Party or, failing such a provision, by arrangement with the Ordering Party.
§ 11. Image, personal data and video monitoring
The controller of the personal data of participants, parents and guardians is Horseback Sp. z o.o. The rules of processing, including the legal bases, retention periods and the rights of data subjects, are set out in the privacy policy at https://horseback.pl/polityka-prywatnosci.
Health data are processed on the basis of explicit consent, solely for the purpose of running activities safely and caring for the participant.
The Centre's grounds are covered by video monitoring. Horseback is the controller of the recordings. The purposes of monitoring, the retention period of recordings and the rights of recorded persons are set out in the privacy policy at https://horseback.pl/polityka-prywatnosci.
A participant's image is recorded and published in Horseback's materials only on the basis of separate consent. Consent to the use of image is not required to take part in activities, and the lack of it does not affect the possibility of taking part. This provision does not apply to monitoring recordings referred to in section 3.
Participants and accompanying persons may take photos and videos for their own use, provided that this does not disturb activities or frighten the animals. Publishing the image of other participants requires their consent.
§ 12. Complaints and final provisions
Complaints may be sent to [email protected] or to the registered office address. We reply within 14 days.
Matters not governed by these Rules are governed by Polish law and, as regards conduct, by animal welfare and mutual goodwill and help.
Changes to these Rules are published at https://horseback.pl/regulamin-zajec together with their effective date. Activities already paid for are governed by the version of the Rules in force on the date the agreement was concluded, unless the change results from safety requirements.
These Rules are available in Polish and English. In the event of any discrepancy, the Polish version prevails.
These Rules are effective from 1 November 2026.
