Half a day (about 4 h), small groups, all year round | individual quote - booking form and programme below | 📍 Hucisko near Zawiercie
Get away from the noise of the city. The one-day City detox is half a day in which you swap noise, screens and rushing for horses, forest and silence. First, unhurried time with our horses: watching the herd, a calm approach, grooming and leading a horse - no riding and no pressure. Then forest bathing: a slow time in a forest of the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura, paying attention to what you see, hear and feel.
For adults from big cities, including those with no experience with horses. About 4 h in a small group, all year round, at our centre in Hucisko near Zawiercie. Price: individual quote.
It is hard to think about e-mails around horses: to approach them you have to slow down, breathe calmly and look carefully. A good start before you walk into the forest.

Who is it for?
- •City dwellers tired of noise, screens and rushing
- •People who want to spend time around horses but do not want to (or cannot yet) ride
- •Couples and friends looking for a calm half day out of town
- •Work teams who would rather have fresh air and silence than another meeting room
Our horses
Our horses live in a herd, in a free-range system: they have a pasture, a paddock, a covered shelter and their own forest area. You meet them where they spend their day. More: free-range horse keeping and animal welfare policy.
Outline (about 4 h)
1. Arrival and settling in (about 15 min)
A few words about the session and safety around horses, phones on mute.
2. Watching the herd (about 30 min)
Quietly, by the paddock: how horses move, rest and communicate with each other.
3. Meeting a horse from the ground (about 60 min)
A calm approach, grooming and leading a horse in hand, under an instructor's supervision. No riding.
4. Break (about 15 min)
A hot cup of tea and a moment to catch your breath.
5. Forest bathing (about 1.5 h)
Slowly into the forest, a stop by the two-level beaver dam and the signs of the beavers' work (we cannot promise the beavers themselves), simple sensory exercises and some quiet time for yourself.
6. Closing (about 15 min)
A short conversation for those who want it and a calm walk back to the centre.
We adjust the order and length of each part to the group, the weather and the horses on the day. More about forest bathing itself: Forest bathing in the Jura.
A detox in every season
The horses are here all year round, and so is the forest. Each season offers something different - we have highlighted the current one.
Spring
The herd after winter, the forest in its first green.
- •The horses shed their winter coats - grooming is calm, absorbing work for your hands.
- •The first grass on the pasture and the herd grazing peacefully.
- •Birdsong and the smell of damp earth in the forest.
Summer
Horses in the morning, then the shade of the forest.
- •We start earlier, before the heat.
- •The herd resting in the shade of the trees - our horses have their own forest area.
- •It is cooler in the forest than in the hot city.
- •Long days: time to really stop rushing.
Autumn
Colours, mist and the warmth of a horse's flank.
- •The horses grow a thick, soft winter coat.
- •The smell of leaves, mushrooms and the damp forest floor.
- •Morning mist over the meadows and between the trees.
- •After the holidays it is quieter - here and on the trails.
Winter
Horses' breath steaming and a quiet winter forest.
- •The herd in winter coats, breath steaming in the frost.
- •Snow muffles the forest - the calmest time for forest bathing.
- •With the leaves gone, the beaver dam and the signs of the beavers' work are easiest to see.
- •More walking, shorter stops and hot tea.
- •Half a day away from the winter bustle of the city.
What the City detox is not
It is not therapy, hippotherapy or a riding lesson, and it does not replace a doctor's advice. It is half a day with horses and in the forest - time to slow down, take a break from the city and be in silence.
Safety
We work with calm, experienced horses, supervised by an instructor throughout. At the start we go through the rules of safe behaviour around horses. Please wear closed, sturdy shoes and clothes suited to the weather.
Other forms of city detox
- City detox - weekend - Stay the night: two days with horses, an evening without screens, a night at OW Orle Gniazdo and a longer forest bathing session the next day.
- Forest bathing in the Jura - Forest bathing on its own, without horses: about 2.5 h of unhurried time in the forest with a guide.
Price
Individual quote - it depends on the number of people and the date. We give you the total cost before you book. Ask via the form above, by phone or by text message (buttons below). Payment methods.
